We also watched the fluidly amazing Micromoth made by filmmaker Julie Murray with a Bolex and a microscope, and read about her methods and explorations. Then we were all inspired of course to play around with a nifty little micro-cam.
I have been interested in cosmic imagery my entire life. Dr. John Basey demonstrated how certain wavelengths of light reveal unique details. Also, our in class experiment with the camera opened up the world within various objects such as precious stones. These exercises inspired me to look further into the potential for cosmic imagery on film!
